Peripheral Artery Disease


Peripheral artery disease is the reduced blood flow in the limbs due to narrowed arteries. This disease is marked by mild to severe pain of the legs while walking (claudication), sores on toes and legs, coldness in the lower leg, general weakness. Atherosclerosis (build up of plaque in blood vessel) is the major cause of PAD.
